What is Box Lacrosse?
Box lacrosse is an indoor version of the game of lacrosse which has a long and storied history in Canada. Lacrosse is a traditional indigenous people's game that has been played for hundreds of years. Box lacrosse is a modern version of the game that was invented in Canada in the early 1900s. Currently box lacrosse is played throughout Canada with associations found in virtually every province. In Alberta there are close to 10,000 thousand registered box lacrosse players in the province.
